These ions attract and neutralize those found on the surface until the electrostatic charge is neutralized.
The use of nitrogen in the coating of plastics makes unnecessary any preliminary treatment of plastic surfaces because nitrogen is naturally anhydrous and tends to eliminate any trace of moisture at the margins and on the surface. It has a low specific weight so it does not affect the outlet flow of the spray gun.
